This February our Goran Mrvos was invited to contribute to the online education program for campsite managers, conducted by the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management based in Opatija, Croatia. The widely respected program is intended for future campsite managers, as well as for investors and entrepreneurs.
Goran used his time to explain key concepts of digital marketing, and steps in building digital sales channels. He touched on websites, social networks and email marketing, all assets in designing digital journeys for customers, as they discover, explore, book and recommend accommodation in campsites.
Titled “Digital marketing: A way to create and develop a digital sales channel”, Goran’s session also covered website traffic, search engine optimisation, good practices in social media programs, and why organisations need to implement Google Analytics 4 starting today.
Since its beginnings, the Camping Resort Management program has seen more than 150 attendees. They have used it to expand their knowledge of sustainable camping in their destinations, as well as to advance their business and careers in campsite management.
Going online opened up the possibility for internationalisation, so the sixth edition of this lifelong learning program had participants from abroad, too.
They will also have opportunities for on-site learning about campsite operations, which is scheduled for this spring. The Croatian Camping Association awarded the best in a class with a free weekend in a mobile home. Congratulations to the prize winner and to everyone that has mastered this valuable program.
